Top-ranked Bridgewater top seed for Somerset County boys lacrosse tournament

Defending champion Bridgewater-Raritan, No. 1 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, on Wednesday was awarded the top seed for the Somerset County Tournament.

Bridgewater-Raritan defeated Immaculata, 14-6, in last year's SCT final en route to winning the Tournament of Champions state title.

Ridge, ranked No. 8, was awarded the second seed, 14th-ranked Montgomery earned the third seed and 17th-ranked Somerville was given the fourth seed.

The first round is on Monday, the quarterfinals are Wednesday and the semifinals are on May 12. The higher seed will be at home for each of the first three rounds.

The final is on May 16 at Bridgewater-Raritan.

Seedings precede the teams

10-Watchung Hills at 7-Immaculata, winner at 1-Bridgewater-Raritan. 9-Bernards at 8-Rutgers Prep, winner at 2-Ridge. 6-Hillsborough at 3-Montgomery. 5-Pingry at 4-Somerville.
