Every week, the New Jersey boys lacrosse season gets wilder and harder to figure out. For the most part, almost anybody can play with anybody else. The Top 20 rankings are becoming increasingly more difficult to sort out, thanks to the fact that a lot of Top 20 teams play each other.

Over the last week, Bergen Catholic won its first Gibbs Division title by defeatingMountain LakesRidge topped Bridgewater-Raritan and Glen Ridge whileChatham beat Hunterdon Central and Glen RidgeSomerville beatMoorestown, who beat Immaculata and Ridgewood beat WestfieldDon Bosco Prep beat Mountain Lakes, who turned around and defeated Bernards.

Keeping up?

For right now, there is one thing that is stable and that is Delbarton at the top spot.Summit slides up to No. 2 this week thanks to a perfect week and Moorestown's loss to Somerville. Chatham bumps up to No. 3 with Moorestown at No. 4. Bergen Catholic is at No. 5 and Hunterdon Central is at No. 6.

Ridge jumps up to No. 7 and Don Bosco Prep vaults to No. 8. Somerville jumps to No. 9 and Mountain Lakes rounds out the Top 10. Bridgewater-Raritan is at No. 11, bouncing back from the defeat to Ridge to top Shawnee and knock the Medford team from the rankings.

No. 17 Southern and No. 18 Jackson are on a collision course as the top two seeds in the Shore Conference Tournament and could meet again in a rematch of that triple overtime thriller won by Southern.

Finally, Bernards, winners of 11 of its last 12, enters the Top 20 at No. 19 this week.

County tournaments continue this week with the finals spread over the next eight days. The cutoff date for the state tournament is May 11, which is right around the corner. We are gearing up for the home stretch of what promises to be a memorable final month of the season.
